Discover the Beautiful Orange Beach of Sarti

Orange beach in Kavourotripes in Sithonia

The Sithonia peninsula in Halkidiki  boasts a treasure trove of hidden coves and pristine beaches. Among these gems lies Orange beach, a captivating stretch of coastline also known as Kavourotripes. This name, however, only refers to the central cove, which got its name from the only beach bar that is located there, while Kavourotripes, meaning “crab holes” in Greek, encompasses the entire 5km coastline.

What is Special about Orange Beach?

Kavourotripes offers a unique beach experience. Unlike the long, sweeping bays of Sithonia, it’s a collection of secluded coves formed by dramatic rock formations and lush greenery. Imagine a series of turquoise pools nestled amidst sculpted cliffs, each cove offering a unique character and level of seclusion. The star of the show is Orange Beach, named after the vibrant beach bar that graces its shores. This central cove is the most organized, offering sunbeds and umbrellas for rent. However, its popularity comes at a price. During peak season, finding a spot on the soft, white sand can be a challenge, especially after mid-morning.

Venture beyond Orange Beach and discover a network of smaller coves, each accessible by short walks through the scenic brush. These secluded havens offer an escape from the crowds, perfect for those seeking tranquility and a connection with nature.

The crystal-clear waters of Kavourotripes are a snorkeler’s paradise. The underwater world teems with colorful fish and vibrant marine life, waiting to be explored. Kayaking and paddleboarding are also popular activities, allowing you to navigate the coves at your own pace and soak in the stunning scenery.

Keep in mind that due to the beauty of the beach, it might be crowded. Make sure to bring food and your own equipment if you would like to spend all day on the beach. It is also recommended to visit orange beach early in the morning, go for a swim and later on transfer to another longer beach. Sithonia is full of them!
